My name is Adam de Souza and I am based in the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver, British Columbia. I am a regular contributor illustrating for The Globe and Mail’s “First Person” essay’s. The first children’s book I’ve illustrated, The Sister Who Ate Her Brother released this past October through Penguin Random House and Thames & Hudson UK. My comic series A Gleaming was recently nominated for two Doug Wright Awards. Currently, I am working on my webcomic Blind Alley as well as a few unannounced projects. Do not hesitate to reach out to collaborate!
Outside of illustration, I love reading, writing, playing games, and basking in the beauty of the Pacific North West.
